The GRP pipes are connected by socket type double "O" sealing rings, so every time a pipe is installed, pressure shall be applied at the socket to test the sealing effect of the double "O" sealing rings. Use the pressure test pump to directly pump through the pressure test hole on the top of the pipe to 1.5 times the working pressure of the pipe, and then stop the pump (open the drain valve to exhaust during the operation). Observe for 2min. The pressure drop value does not exceed 5% of the test pressure, and there is no leakage at the pipe orifice.
What are the pressure test requirements for FRP pipes
The pipe orifice is qualified after pressure test. If the pressure drop decreases rapidly, in order to comprehensively check the installation quality of the pipeline, the pressure test shall be carried out according to the test method specified in the Code for Construction and Acceptance of Water Supply and Sewerage Pipeline Engineering. The allowable water seepage can be carried out according to the standards of steel pipes. Before the winding of glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes, it shall be confirmed that the lining is free of bubbles, air holes, impurities, flat surface, reasonable resin content, white spots and local poor curing. The lining must be carefully checked to see if it is qualified. Unqualified lining is strictly forbidden to be wound on the machine.
